WILLIS GRANT

Willis Jackson Grant, Jr., age 76, of Columbus, MS , passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Private family graveside services will be Monday, September 27, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gardens of Columbus with Rev. Luke Lawson officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location.

Mr. Grant was born April 12, 1945, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late Willis Jackson and Gaye Garner Grant, Sr.  He was a graduate of Caledonia High School.  Mr. Grant worked with his father at Willis Grant & Son Construction for many years and was a will known builder and carpenter.  He also worked as a construction superintendent for Bryan Foods for 16 years and was owner and operator of Grant Construction Company.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Ann Grant.

Survivors include his sons, James Grant and his wife Cindy and Alan Grant and his wife Alicia, all of Columbus, MS, and sister, Janet Blalock of Jackson, MS.
