Willie Earl Perrigin

September 9, 1941 — November 21, 2023

Willie Earl "Gator" Perrigin, age 82, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 21, 2023, at Garden Hill Assisted Living.  A memorial service will be Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with military honors and Rev. Granville Wiggins officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mr. Perrigin was born September 9, 1941, in Columbus, MS, to the late Willie Evelyn and Eloise Richardson Perrigin.  He was a graduate of McCarty High School in Ft. Pierce, FL, and a veteran of Korea serving in the United States Army.  Mr. Perrigin retired from Lucent Technology and was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church where he served as Senior Deacon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sharon Childs Perrigin of Columbus, MS, son, Willie Earl "Buddy" Perrigin, Jr. of Columbus, MS, daughter, Michelle Denise Perrigin of Caledonia, MS, brothers, James Ervin Perrigin of Columbus, MS, and Richard Neil Perrigin of Waterloo, AL, sisters, Nancy Koppenhoefer of Ft. Pierce, FL, Constance Bitgood of Columbus, MS, Glenda Eloise Owens of Columbus, MS, Joan Ramage of Wasilla, AK, and Susan Lynette Castro of Columbus, MS, and Patricia Kay Osborne of Cleveland, TN. Grandsons, Austin Tylor Perrigin of Columbus MS, and Alex Zander Perrigin of Columbus MS, and granddaughter, Haley Nichole Edwards of Vernon AL. Great grandchildren, Gavin and Guner Edwards, and Aura Willow and Ian Perrigin; also, a host of nieces and nephews.
