Willena Woods

Willena Strickland Woods, age 90, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 21, 2021, at The Windsor Place.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location with Allen Jones and Andy Wilson officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Woods was born August 18, 1931, in Columbus, MS, to the late William L. and Sarah Pritchard Strickland.  She was a graduate of New Hope High School and faithful member of East Columbus Church of Christ.  Mrs. Woods retired from First Federal Bank and was a forever friend to many.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shelley Wade Woods.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherree W. Woods of Columbus, MS, sons, Alan Wade Woods and his wife Debbie of Robertsdale, AL, and Shelley Thomas Woods of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, A. Flynn Woods and Cole S. Woods, both of Robertsdale, AL, and great granddaughter, Elliott "Ellie" Jane Woods.

Pallbearers will be Alan Wade Woods, Shelley Thomas Woods, Flynn Woods, Cole Woods, Greg Willis, and Clyde Hollis.
