WAUNDA KIRKLEY
Waunda Jean Ayers Kirkley, age 86, of West Point, MS, passed away March 26, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, MS. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel College St. location.
Mrs. Kirkley was born January 15, 1933, in AL, to the late Grady Lee and Bessie Pearl Wheeler Ayers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Ray Kirkley, daughter, Betty Jean Kirkley, and sons David Kirkley and Danny Kirkley.
Survivors include her son, Ronnie Dale Kirkley of West Point, MS, sister, Nancy Kiser of Deerborne, MI, Daughter-in-law, Kathie Kirkley, grandchildren, Debra Chain (Mark), Troy Kirkley, and Heather Zanier (Aaron). She also had five great grandchildren.
Waunda was better known to her close friends and family as Jean, Mom, or Grandma Kirkley. She had a love for all of her family members that was unique to each in it's own way. She loved teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to cook and do things with their hands, like working in the garden. She spent most of her time watching her christian programs on TV. Another thing about Jean was that she loved all of her animals. They were always a huge part of her life. Jean will be missed deeply by all of her friends and family.
