Wanda Gail Ray

Wanda Gail Ray, 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Trinity Healthcare in Columbus. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10:00 am at Friendship Cemetery in Fernbank, AL with Pete Bowen officiating.
Wanda was born on September 20, 1941 in Columbus, MS to the late Winston Ray and Mildred Cole Ray. She was a long time member of Steens Church of Christ where she taught many classes. She retired after 45 years as an administrative assistant at Mississippi University for Women. Wanda enjoyed painting and drawing and was an avid cat lover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special friend, J.W. Blalock. She is survived by her cousin, Lloyd Cole of Newton Square, PA.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Sharp, Ryan Lloyd, Connor Church, Carson Church, Brett Cole, Bryan Cole, and Blake Cole. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Steens Church of Christ and the staff and nurses of Trinity Healthcare.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Wanda's honor to The Pine Vale Children's Home 1872 County Road 700 Corinth, MS 38834.
