Joyce Kilmer

Miss Virginia Joyce Kilmer, age 93, of Columbus, MS, passed away February 7, 2025, at Garden Hill Assisted Living. Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Kilmer was born June 11, 1931, in Artesia, MS, to the late Orvin Clayton and Virginia Locke Kilmer. She attended Mississippi College for Women and worked as a librarian for Price Waterhouse of New York City, YN, and also the Columbus Public Library until her retirement. Miss Kilmer was a member of First Methodist Church of Columbus, was an avid reader, and enjoyed pets.

Survivors include her special friends Abbe and Van Williams of West Point, MS, and their children, Laura Tinsley and Michael Williams.
