Vickie Lynn Murphree

Vickie Lynn Boone Murphree, age 48, of Columbus, MS, passed away March 2, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 2 nd Ave. location with Rev. Steve Blalock officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service.
Mrs. Murphree was born July 29, 1970, in Louisville, MS, to the late James “Jimmy” and Mamie Nell Belle Boone. She worked a number of years at Sunflower Grocery and Trinity Healthcare and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Sterling Murphree.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Murphree of Columbus, MS, daughters, Amanda Murphree of Columbus, MS, and Beth Murphree of Sulligent, AL, brothers, Danny Boone and his wife Claudia of Columbus, MS, and Scott Boone and his wife Debbie of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Sophie Murphree, Easton Murphree, and Christian Murphree, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Toby Atkins, Chris Murphree, Joe Shepherd, John Barkley, Danny James Boone, II, and Jimmy Anderson, Jr.
