Van Lee Hunley, Jr., 59, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 2nd Ave. North Chapel.  Burial will immediately follow at Rowan Cemetery in Steens, MS. Visitation will be held at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral  Home & Crematory, 2nd Ave. North location on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

Mr. Hunley was born on March 19, 1959 in Charleston, SC to the late Van Lee and Deanna Cline Hunley, Sr..  He was a graduate of Caledonia High School and MUW Nursing School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Van Lee Hunley, III.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Elizabeth Hunley of Caledonia, MS; two daughters: Lydia Gonzales and her husband, Rey and Sarah Haynes and her husband Robbie, of Caledonia, MS; two sons: Miles Hunley and his wife Sabrina and Jared Hunley and his wife Casey, of Columbus, MS; sisters: Denise Sibley  and her husband Parrish  of Columbus, MS and Roberta Brock and her husband Ricky of Caledonia, MS; brother, Albert Hunley and his wife Elizabeth of Caledonia, MS; and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Miles Hunley, Jared Hunley, Albert Hunley, Jr., Robery Haynes, Rey Gonzales, and Jessie Gonzales.
