Tyson Graham

February 27, 1941 — August 3, 2020

Tyson Graham, age 79, of New Orleans, LA, and formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away August 3, 2020 at Woldenberg Village of natural causes.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial G unter and Peel Funeral Home 2 nd Ave N. is in charge of arrangements.

Tyson was born February 27, 1941 in Cairo, Georgia, to the late James William “Bill” Graham, Jr., and Harriette Teele Tyson Graham.   He graduated from Cairo High School in Cairo, GA in 1959.  He received a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law.  He spent over 40 years practicing law in Columbus before retiring from Graham & Segrest Law Firm.  Tyson was a member of the Columbus Exchange Club, the Chairman of the City Planning Commission for twenty years and was a member of St. Pauls’s Episcopal Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann “Ginny” Graham.

Mr. Graham is survived by his son, Glen Graham and his wife, Brooks, of Hillsborough, NC, daughter, Georgia Graham Rhody and her husband, Matt, of New Orleans, LA, and sister Harriet Clise and her husband, Jack, of Ojai, CA.
