Murl Thomas Young, Jr.,70, of Ethelsville, AL passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab in Reform, AL. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Woodlawn Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS with Allen Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.
Murl, known as Tommy, was born to the late Murl Thomas Young, Sr. and Edna Dean Young. He is survived by his two children, Murl Thomas Young, III (Angela) and Kimberly Young McNorton (Patrick); five grandchildren, Toby Young (Abby), Kane McNorton (Kayla), Sophie Young, Kali Wall (Cory), and Faith McNorton; four great grandchildren, Collson Young, Colt Young, K.J. McNorton, and Kaylyn McNorton; and siblings, Frankie Young (Kathy), Gloria Taylor (Donald), and Louis Denney (Theresa).
Serving as pallbearers will be Toby Young, Steve Yarbrough, David Taylor, Dewayne Young, Colby Logan, and Jonathon Logan.
