Steve Simpson

Stevie "Shorty" Simpson, age 58, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 26, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  A memorial service will be Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Rev. Steve Blaylock officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mr. Simpson was born April 22, 1965, in Columbus, MS, to Faye Hallman of Columbus, MS, and the late Edward Simpson.  He worked as a carpenter for many years working most recently with Bostick Construction.  He was an avid Mississippi State fan.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Simpson, sister, Sherry Easter, and fur baby, Curly.
Survivors include his wife, Fernanda Simpson of Columbus, MS, parents, Dale and Faye Hallman of Columbus, MS, sister, Selena Chunn and her husband Alan of Columbus, MS.
