STEPHEN IMES
Stephen Blanchard Imes, of Columbus, MS , passed away peacefully on July 31, 2021, at his residence at the age of 68. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 716 2 nd Ave. North location. A private family graveside service will be Thursday, August 5, 2021 , at the Imes Family Cemetery.
Mr. Imes was born June 30, 1953, in Columbus, MS, to the late Vinton Birney and Nancy McClanahan Imes, Jr. He owned and operated Waukaway Springs Bottling Company and enjoyed his associations with Prairie Wildlife, Black Prairie Helice, and Kids Across America Advisory Board.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dava Widner Imes. He was a loving father to Trey Imes and his wife Logan, Stephan Gordon and her husband Adam, and Hannah Duke and her husband Wade. He was a proud grandfather “Pop” to Bentley (14), Sadie (11), Jude (5), and Oliver (3).
Serving as pallbearers will be Birney Imes, III, Sidney Imes, Gene Imes, Trey Imes, Bentley Ferguson, and Dennis Harris.
