SHIRLEY MCDILL
Shirley Ann McDill, 74, passed away September 22, 2020. She was born in Fayette, AL on September 2, 1946 and grew up in Pickens County, Alabama. Shirley was a graduate of Palmetto High School, class of 1964. She was a member of Ashcraft Corner Baptist Church near Palmetto. She has been a resident of Columbus, MS for many years. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Dessie Foley. She is survived by her husband, Johnny of Columbus, MS; her two children, Lisa McDill of Memphis, TN and Tony McDill of Columbus, MS; two grandchildren, Jaycie Cantrell and Jay Cooper McDill; and one great grandson, Sawyer Weathers. Also, Shirley had one sister, Annette Foley Estes of Columbus, MS and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, the 25th, at the 716 2nd Avenue North location of Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, Columbus, MS with visitation at 5:30pm and services at 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made in her memory to the Lowndes County Humane Society at 50 Airline Road Columbus, MS 39702.
