SHELIA COGGINS - Shelia Marie McDill Coggins, age 60, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 25, 2023, at Vineyard Court Nursing Center. A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Coggins was born January 21, 1963, in Columbus, MS, to Virginia Forrester Hughes of Columbus, MS, and the late Willie D. McDill. Mrs. Coggins was a graduate of East Lowndes Academy of Steens, MS, and worked for a number of years as a teller at B & W Credit Union. She will be remembered for her love of horses and animals.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughter, Dana McDonald and her husband Chris Shelton of Millport, AL, son, Robert Coggins and his wife Kayla Price of Columbus, MS, sister, Debra Prishmont and her husband Richard of Columbus, MS. and grandchildren, Allison McElhenney, Kaitlyn McDonald, Curtis McDonald, Elizabeth Coggins, Lillian Coggins, and Sadie Coggins.
