ROBERT MITCHELL

Robert Coy Mitchell, age 79, of Columbus, MS , passed away March 28, 2021, at Vineyard Court Nursing Center.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at  St. Stephen United Methodist Church with Rev. Jamie Turner officiating.  The interment of the cremains will be at Berea Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mitchell was born July 25, 1941, in Kosciusko, MS, to the late Lonnie C. and Lottie Brantley Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Mathis Mitchell, children, Denise O’Brian (Dink), Rusty Mitchell (Glenda), Robbie Mitchell (Pat) Michelle Mitchell, Lisa Wooten (Donny), and Terry Mathis (Jackie), sister, Louise Pugh (Ed) 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
