Robert "Bob" F. Ward

BOB WARD - Elder Robert F. "Bob" Ward, age 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away April 26, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  A private family graveside service will be Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Vaughn Cemetery in Steens, MS, with Elder Tim Cunningham officiating.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born October 25, 1937, in Bruce, MS, to the late E. C. and Zeffie Simpson Ward.  He was also preceded in death by eight siblings.  Bob was a retired minister and also worked many years with Newell Paper Company and Columbus Paper & Chemical Company.  He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar at various nursing homes in the Columbus area.

He is survived by wife of 64 years, Joyce Smith Ward, 3 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.  Sons, Mike Ward, Kevin Ward and wife Angie, and Steve Ward and wife Stephanie, grandchildren, Allen Ward and wife Becca, Mary Blair Ward, Scott Ward, Brooklyn Ward, Spencer Ward, Blake Ward, and Mallory Ward, great grandson, Allen Riley Ward, brother, Jerry Ward of AR, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Allen Ward, Blake Ward, Spencer Ward, Richard Ward, and his sons.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
