RICK MANNING

Charles E. “Rick” Manning, Jr., age 78, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 19, 2020, at Windsor Place.  A private family graveside committal will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 , at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Byron Benson officiating.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Manning was born December 13, 1942, in Vardaman, MS, to the late Charles E. and Joyce McGraw Manning, Sr.  He worked for many years as a real estate appraiser and was a member of East End Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Royce Sesser and brother-in-law Harry Rodgers (husband of Martha).

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Maro Malone Manning of Columbus, MS, son, Andrew Manning and his wife Robin of Birmingham, AL, daughter, Michelle Sesser, of Jackson, MS, brother, Mike Manning (Jaye) of Amory, MS, sisters, Martha Rodgers of Amory, MS, and Missy Staggers (Buddy) of Starkville, MS, grandchildren, Anna Catherine Fort (Michael), Davis Cooper Manning, Harli Malone Sesser, and Rider Manning Sesser, and great grandson, John Nixon Fort.
