PLEMON ROBINSON

Plemon Jerrel Robinson Sr. age 98, died Saturday, April 03, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta GA. Services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel 716 2nd Ave N. Chapel with Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating, burial with U.S. Air Force Honors will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mr. Robinson was born on Sunday, August 13, 1922 in Chester, MS to the late John Lee and Jennie Collins Robinson. He started life with his parents as a sharecropper, then served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the war he served in, and retired from, the U.S. Air Force in radio maintenance. After his Air Force career, he went back to college and received his master's degree from Mississippi State University, then taught special education, and retired from the Columbus Municipal School System. He was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mr. Robinson was a strict, but loving father, he enjoyed gardening and auto mechanics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eleonor Tirado Robinson and 7 siblings .
