Peter Cyprian, Jr. Peter Cyprian, Jr., age 90, died Sunday, December 05, 2021 at his residence in Caledonia. Services will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00am at the 903 College Street Chapel of Memorial Gunter Peel with Bro. Mel Howton, officiating; burial with full U.S. Air Force Honors will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 09, 2021 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home. Mr Cyprian was born on Thursday, April 30, 1931 in Gary, Indiana to the late Peter and Mary Kolarik Cyprian. He was a devoted husband and father dedicating his life to his wife, Rose, and raising his five sons. He was a true family man enjoying time spent with his growing family especially all of his grandchildren and their families. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 32 years achieving the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was a generous and giving man to all he knew. He loved animals and sought to care for all those along the many miles he walked even bringing those without a home to his. He was an avid walker, walking 100,000 miles from 1987-2007 only missing three days. He was recognized for his accomplishment by the Governor of Mississippi in 2007 and was affectionately known as “the walking man” by the Governor and in the community. During the remainder of his life, he continued to log untold miles. He lived a fruitful and joyous life for 90 years filled with laughter and love from all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosell Grimsley Cyprian, his sister, June, and his brothers, Phil, Ernie, & Jerry. Survivors include: Sons: David Cyprian (Denise) Of Summerville, SC, Joe McDaniel, Thomaston, GA, Pete Cyprian (Nancy), McDonough, GA, Allen Cyprian (Tami), Columbia, MS Timothy Cyprian (Deborah), Caledonia, MS Sister: Karen Urbanik, Greenwood, IN 12 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren The Pallbearers will be: Joshua Cyprian, Jonathan Cyprian, Caleb Cyprian, Lee Fuller, Willie McDaniel, Mike Ables
