Peggy Stacy

PEGGY STACY - Peggy Hulett Stacy, age 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away March 27, 2022, at Vineyard Court Nursing Center.  A memorial service will be Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Dr. Tommy Doughty, Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Stacy was born November 30, 1940, in Columbus, MS, to the late Cleo and Nettie Lee House George.  She was a 1958 graduate of S. D. Lee High School.  Mrs. Stacy owned and operated Stacy's Produce along with her late second husband, George C. Stacy, for many years.  She also worked as a cashier at Southern Family and Walmart, and was known for her Angel cross stitches.  She was a member of Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church and was recently attending McBee Baptist Church.  Mrs. Stacy was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Dale "Bill" Hulett, and sons, Kenneth Hulett and Gregory Stacy.

Survivors include her children, Marie Harrison (Mike) of Caledonia, MS, Robert Stacy of Silverdale, WA, Danny Stacy (Jean) of Columbus, MS, Dawn Doughty (Tommy) of Columbus, MS, and Wanda Tilley (Barry) of Walsenburg, CO, daughters-in-law, Jerri Hulett of Taylor, FL, and Debbie Vest (Robert) of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Sabrina Harrison, Jessica Cuevas, Michelle Hall, Kenneth Hulett, Nicholas Hulett, Caitlin Hulett, Zoey Hulett, Scott Stacy, Jeremy Stacy, Jason Stacy, Chris Stacy, Jessica Stacy, Daniel Stacy, Dr. Tommy Doughty, Jr., and Angie Sanders, and numerous great grandchiildren.
