Peggy Criddle

Peggy Sue Jones Criddle, age 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 20, 2021, at Trinity Healthcare.  Funeral services will be Monday, December 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location.  A private family interment will immediately follow at Sullivan Cemetery in Monroe County, MS.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Criddle was born September 14, 1936, in Monroe County, MS, to the late James Alfred and Dovie Idella Hill Jones.  She retired from Chromolax of Vernon, AL, and was a member of the Caledonia Open Door Worship Center.  Mrs. Criddle was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Criddle, grandson, Travis Tyler Jones, brother, Buck Jones, and sisters, Lucille Garrett, Evelyn Francisco, Dorothy Dull, Minnie Lou Murff, and Bernice Suggs.

Survivors include her sons, Bennie Jones and his wife Sherrie of Hamilton, MS, Paul Criddle of Caledonia, MS, and Dennis Criddle and his wife, Cheryl of Crestwood, KY, sister, Betty Jean Holley, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
