Peggy Ann-Massingill Bishop

PEGGY BISHOP - Peggy Ann Massingill Bishop, age 63, of Columbus, MS, passed away May 7, 2022, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.  Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel.  The interment will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Bishop was born October 4, 1958, in Mobile, AL, to Mary Floyes Massingill of Columbus, MS, and the late Elton Massingill.  She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and member of Eastview Baptist Church where she served as former youth director and also in the nursery.  Mrs. Bishop enjoyed arts, crafts, softball, crabbing, and fishing.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 45 years, Clifton Bishop, Sr. of Columbus, MS, sons, Edward Bishop and his wife Jennifer of Columbus, MS, and Kevin Bishop and his fiance' Jennifer Cauthen of Holt, FL, brother, Thomas G. Massingill and his wife Lisa of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Hayden Merritt Bishop "Best Friend for Life" of Columbus, MS, Christopher McCullough and his finace' Mackenzie Ragsdale of Highland Home, AL, and Brett McCollough of Tuscon, AZ, and great granddaughter, Aubrey McCullough and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Christopher McCullough, Brett McCullough, Alex Pogue, Rob Hudson, Chris Moore, Chris Yeakos, and Justin Massingill.
