Pearl Gober, 76, of Starkville, MS passed away June 29, 2022.

Pearl was born May 11, 1946 in Kosciusko, MS to Troy L. Gober and Mary Katherine Taylor Gober.

Growing up she and her family followed her father’s military career which led them to live in Mississippi, Texas, and Alaska before settling in California where Pearl spent most of her life. Pearl and her mother returned to Mississippi in 2003 to be closer to family.

Pearl was very artistic and loved crafts. She often invited children in the neighborhood to help her paint murals in her home. She was known for her love of public libraries and her skill to take a plain surface and transform it into something beautiful. Whether it was painting the vines of time on an old family trunk, embellishing a picture frame or greeting card with beads and pressed flowers or making personalized sewing kits, her creativity shown through.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jean Carol.

She leaves behind her grandchildren and son, Michael Joseph “Joey” Clark.
