Norma Brown

Norma Jean Lard Brown, age 56, of Columbus, MS , passed away December 18, 2021, at her residence.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location with Rev. Dillon Williams officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Brown was born April 5, 1965, in Elkhart, IN, to the late Edward Lard and Helen Green Mclelland of Canada.  She worked for 20 plus years as a Master Sergeant at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center and enjoyed serving with Body Builders Ministries.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Brown, and sister, Nanette Lard.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her sons, Brad Johnson and his wife Crystal of Millport, AL, and Chad Johnson and his wife Christine of Tuscaloosa, AL, brother, Tony Lard of Nettleton, MS, sister, Beverly Dallas of Vernon, AL, grandchildren, Anabelle, Liam, and Abrielle Johnson, and great niece, Taylor Oglesby.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
