NANCY CRENSHAW

Nancy H. Crenshaw, 70, of Caledonia, MS, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 28, 2022, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Luke Lawson and Rev. Jearl Hunley officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens immediately after.

Nancy Crenshaw was born October 1, 1952, in Jackson, TN, to the late Helen Mary Hester. She graduated from S.D. Lee High School, Class of 1970. Following graduation, she began working where she found a position at 4-county leading her to meet Kenneth Wayne Crenshaw. The two wed on March 16, 1974.

Nancy loved her family and friends and would never miss an opportunity to show that every day in her actions. Nancy loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being able to take trips after retirement and enjoyed all the many trips on the motorcycle rides with her beloved husband and friends. She was a tried-and-true maroon and white fan of Mississippi State through all the years. She was an animal lover and the ones that knew her would always greet her and follow her around to watch over her. Nancy was a faithful member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Columbus; MS. Nancy was a former Loan Officer and IT Specialist at USDA until her retirement in 2008.

In addition to her late mother, Helen Mary Hester, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Hester and her sisters, Elizabeth Hester and Gail Gilmore.

Mrs. Crenshaw is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Crenshaw of Caledonia, MS; son, Michael Wayne Crenshaw of Klawock, AK; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jack Johnson of Southaven, MS. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Crenshaw Hickey (16), Jacey Lynn Johnson (16), Justin Lott Johnson (13), and Sarah Kaye Hickey (12).

Pallbearers will be the men who have spent many wonderful memories with their wife, sister, son, and grandson. Pallbearers will be Kenny Crenshaw, Hardy Hester, Art Hester, David Hester, Michael Crenshaw, and John Hickey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the many, many loving friends and family Nancy knew in her life. Nancy loved everyone in her life and cherishes each and every relationship with open arms and unconditional love.
