PEARL VON KANEL
Minnie Pearl Rushing Von Kanel, age 77, of Columbus, MS, passed away on December 7, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 903 College St. location. Graveside services will be Friday, December 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Mike Hall officiating.
Mrs. Von Kanel was born December 19, 1943, in Longview, MS to the late John Will Rushing and Mary Belle Izell Rushing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Walter Von Kanel, twin brothers, Bill and Joe Rushing; brothers, Walter Rushing, Robert Wayne Rushing, and Lonnie Robertson; and her sister, Pauline Gazaway.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Humphreys and her husband, Homer, of Reform, AL and Norma Sanders and her husband, Harry of Columbus, MS; sister, Sara Rushing Moore of Brooksville, MS; brother, Buddy Rushing of West Point, MS; grandchildren, Terri Johnson, Wanda Holman, Jennifer Thompson, and Joshua Humphreys; and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Gazaway, C.J. Snider, Carl Humphreys, Ethan Humphreys, and James Logan.
