Mildred Perkins

Mildred Louise Perkins, age 93, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 5, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Victory Tabernacle Church with Rev. John Rhodes officiating and Rev. Granville Wiggins assisting. The interment will immediately follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Lamar County, AL. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at Victory Tabernacle Church. Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

 Mrs. Perkins was born April 24, 1931, in Wren, AL, to the late Clarence W. and Barbara Lucas Clark. She attended S. D. Lee High School and was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle for many years. Mrs. Perkins retired as a dietician from Baptist Memorial Hospital after many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lannie Perkins.

 Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Rhodes and her husband John of House Springs, MO, and Gwen Slaughter of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Jonathan Rhodes (Laronna), Jennifer Slaughter, Amanda Slaughter (Ricky Martinez), Eric Rhodes (Ashley), Alex Rhodes, and Derek Slaughter, and eight great grandchildren.
