MIKE MERRITT
Michael Jeffry Merritt, age 61, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 3, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location with Rev. Ben Butler officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mr. Merritt was born February 2, 1960, in Danville, KY, to the late Joe B. Merritt and Jodi Jones Napier. He worked for many years painting and hanging wallpaper and also was a small parts mechanic. He owned and operated Merritt Motors for a number of years and most recently was working for Appliances Plus.
Survivors include his daughters, Danielle Merritt and her husband Zachary Hartleroad of Nashville, TN, and Laurel Merritt of Southaven, MS, sister, Melanie Snider of Houston, TX, brother, Martin Merritt of Dallas, TX, niece, Alexandria Merritt, and nephews, Zachary Merritt and Dustin Amodeo.
