Mary Wood

MARY WOOD - Mary Helen Atkins Wood, age 71, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 30, 2023, at her residence.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wood was born January 18, 1952, in Columbus, MS, to the late Roy Lee and Helen Louise Hodges Atkins.  She was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and was a retired supervisor from Microtech Medical.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wood.
Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Threadgill of Maben, MS, brother, Samuel Atkins of Meridian, MS, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
