Mary Louise Reed Wilcoxson, age 87 died Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Monday, May 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel, 2 nd Avenue North Chapel, with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilcoxson was born on Thursday, August 13, 1931 in Columbus, MS to the late Henry and Freddie Fortune Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Woodrow W. Wilcoxson, seven brothers and one sister.
She attended Lee High School and was employed at Seminole Manufacturing Company, the Mr. Quick Stores and McRae’s Department Store. She loved playing her piano and singing gospel and country music songs, especially when her brother, Gene, was playing his guitar. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Daughter: Jean Marie Barrett, Columbus, MS
Granddaughter: Elizabeth Bailey Barrett (Hunter Ligon), Somerville, TN
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
