Mary Griffith Pate age 89, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Garden Suites Assisted Living in Aberdeen. Services will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the 716 2 nd Ave North Chapel of Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Joiner officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pate was born on Monday, September 19, 1932 in Athens, TN to the late Walter and Ovella Martin Adams.  She was a member of the Church of Nazarene and a retired legal secretary for attorney Doug Stone’s office. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1 st husband Edward “Tootie” Griffith, her 2 nd husband Ben Pate, her son, Marvin Jeffery Griffith, her sister Doris Griffith, and her grandson, Robert Ingle.

5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be:

Brent Lollar, Brian Lollar, Dalton Estes, Rickey Nickoles, Chad Ingle, and Ken Griffith.
