MARY CARLENE McGILL

Mary Carlene McGill age 97 died Monday March 14, 2022 at her residence in Columbus. A funeral service will be held Thursday March 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the 716 2 nd Ave North Chapel of Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home with Rev Ron Delgado and Rev. Rob Dowdle officiating; burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held Thursday from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. McGill was born on September 5, 1924 in Winfield, Alabama to the late George Carruthers Hudson and Millie Frances Addison Hudson. In 1941 she married her late husband I.R. McGill. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mitzi McGill, her son-in-law Fred Dodson, her granddaughter, Dawn Butz, and 8 siblings.

Daughter: Linda McGill Dodson, Columbus, MS

Sons: Ricky Lane McGill (Edna), Columbus, MS

Michael Lynn McGill (Michelle), Columbus, MS

Grandchildren:

Richard Chase McGill, (Beth), Jacob Garrison McGill, (Monica), Anna Kathryn Rippy, (Charlie), Braxton Miller, Cole Miller, and Jack McDowell.

Great Grandchildren:

Sarah Beth Butz, Graham Butz, Everly Pearl McGill, Riverlyn Cate McGill, and Logan June McGill

Grand son-in-law:

John Butz
