Martha Jean Crawford Loper

Martha Jean Crawford Loper, age 73, of Caledonia, MS, passed away December 28, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be Friday, December 31, 2021, at 12:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location with Rev. Dustin Nichols officiating. The  interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Loper was born June 29, 1948, in Columbus, MS, to the late Armon Dawes and Ruby L. Patridge Crawford.  She was a 1968 graduate of S. D. Lee High School.  Mrs. Loper was a loving and forgiving daughter, mother, sister, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and best friend.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace F. Loper, brother, Ronnie Crawford, and sisters, Shirley Buchanan, Charlotte Loper, Marsha DeQuent, Theresa Pittman, and Lois Savage.

Survivors include her sons, Clint Loper of Caledonia, MS, Marshall Loper of Caledonia, MS, and Malcolm Loper of Laurel, MS, daughter, Shanna Jean Loper Wilkins and her husband Michael of Pocahontas, TN, sister, Shelia Nolen of Caledonia, MS, grandchildren, Morgan Loper, Levi Dias, Peyton Loper, and Dakota Loper, great granddaughter, Ella Mae Studdard, and lifelong best friend, Eleanor Kay Easley.

Pallbearers will be Clint Loper, Marshall Loper, Malcolm Loper, Levi Dies, Dakota Loper, and Michael Wilkins.
