Mark Stephen Killebrew, age 66, of Caledonia, MS, passed away October 1, 2024, at his residence. A visitation and Celebration of Life will be Friday, October 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Killebrew was born April 16, 1958, in San Antonio, TX, to the late Marty Lucas Killebrew and Miriam Hearn Killebrew of Caledonia, MS. He was a graduate of Caledonia High School in 1976 and played on the Runner Up State Championship baseball team that year. He also played for the State Championship baseball team in 1975. Mr. Killebrew worked for many years at CECO and Gulf States as a draftsman. He was an Ole Miss fan and enjoyed barbeque cooking having participated in barbeque cooking contests in the area, including Memphis in May. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Killebrew.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his son, Luke Killebrew and his wife Amber of Caledonia, MS, sisters, Pam Robertson and her husband Jim of Caledonia, MS, Carol Murphree and her husband Sam of Columbus, MS, and Joy Collins and her husband Gary of Caledonia, MS, grandchildren who called him "George," Lucas Killebrew, Whit Killebrew, and Lily Scout Killebrew, a number of nieces and nephews, and his constant companion, Amy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hank Vaden, Ian Pugh, Jason Pounders, Jeremy Collins, Jason Collins, Chris Lytle, Gary Collins, and Trey Robertson.
