Marion Gay “Mac” McGee age 83 died Sunday July 23, 2023, at his residence in Columbus. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 28, 2023, at Friendship Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Cuthbertson officiating. Mr. McGee was born on March 2, 1940, in Vernon Alabama to the late William Allen McGee, and Ola Mae Wallace McGee. He was a retired employee of South Central Bell/AT&T after 42 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Myra Jean Sims, and his brothers, Clelon McGee, Theron Allen McGee, and Wallace McGee.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Arnold McGee, daughter, Lynn McGee Peterson and her husband Mark, son, Mark Cliffton McGee and his wife Paula. Grandchildren, Eli Peterson, Jake Peterson, Grace McGee, and Jack McGee and a host of nieces & nephews.
