Lula Mae Ott of Pelham, Alabama

Lula Mae Ott went to be with her Lord and Savior February 19, 2020. She was born February 11, 1919 to Daniel Webster and Francis Rebecca Phillips. She was a retired employee of Seminole Manufacturing of Columbus and Coy Glenn Manufacturing of Caledonia, MS. Lula Mae lived in the Flint Hill/Caledonia community for approximately 70 years. She was an active member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church until her health demanded that she move closer to family. She was an honorary member of the Love Sunday School Class at Shades Mountain Baptist Church while living in Pelham. She spent the last few years of her life at the Gardens of Pelham Assisted Living. Lula Mae enjoyed gardening, working in her lawn and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Luther Clyde Ott, a son, Thomas Wayne Ott (Cindy) her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Porter Laggy (Tom) of Alabaster, AL, son, William Ott (Pam) of Germantown, TN, five grandchildren, Chuck Porter (Patti) of Vestavia, AL, Christie Dennis (Jay) of Madison, AL, Lisa Hale (Kevin) of Collierville, TN, Ashley Winkle (Steve) of Florence, AL, Ethan Ott (Sydney) of Mountain Brook, AL, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m., Flint Hill United Methodist Church, Caledonia, MS with service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Flint Hill. Pastor Charles Kitchens officiating with Memorial Gunter Peel College Street location in charge of arrangements. The graveside will be for immediate family at Egger Cemetery.
