, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away January 26, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, after battling a long fight with a lung infection. Funeral services will be
Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 2:00 PM
at Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Curtis Bray officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Brooksville City Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 1:00 PM
until the time of the service at the church. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vydra was born October 10, 1952, in Columbus, MS, to the late John Adam and Lois Stephens Reichle. She was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and Mississippi University for Women. Mrs. Vydra taught school at West Lowndes then began a new adventure as a school teacher on a military base in Germany. In 1984, she married 1rs Lt. Darrell Vydra. In 1995, she moved to Madison, MS, and lived there for 26 years. She was a devoted mother and passionate teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and Norfleet Reichle, and nephew, Christopher Reichle of Oxford, MS.
Survivors include her children, Dee Vydra and his wife Debbie of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Madelyn Vydra of Diamondhead, MS, sibling, Stephen Reichle of Jackson, MS, sister-in-law, Dot Reichle of Columbus, MS, nephews, John William Reichle of Birmingham, AL, and Hank Reichle of Greenwood, MS, and granddaughter, Harper Vydra.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
