LOUIS MUTCH

Louis Gregory Mutch, age 59, died Monday July 27, 2020 at his residence in Columbus. A visitation will be held Saturday August 1, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the 716 2nd Ave North location of Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home.

Mutch was born on June 7, 1961 in Spokane, Washington to the late Samuel Amos and Mary Lou Brunk Mutch.  He was stationed at Columbus Air Force Base in the 80s, and loved the area so much he decided to stay and make Columbus his home.

After his service in the Air Force, he was employed many years at Columbus Air Force Base as an Instrument Technician and Team Leader. An avid cyclist since 1989, he was seen often in and around Columbus, on his bicycle.  He also loved photography, and worked toward his Bachelors in Fine Arts degree at Mississippi University for Women
