Lloyd Criddle

LLOYD CRIDDLE – Lloyd Earl Criddle, age 79, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 28, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel College St. location with Kevin Forrester officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Sullivan Cemetery in Monroe County, MS.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mr. Criddle was born May 15, 1940, in Monroe County, MS, to the late Monroe and Ola Mae Sutton Criddle.  He retired from Dairy Fresh after many years then worked alongside the love of his life, his late wife of 52 years Jo Elizabeth Garner Criddle, at the New Hope Cafeteria for a number of years until she was able to retire.  He was a member of the former New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed coaching softball.  In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Criddle was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Denise Criddle, and sister, Thelma Scoggins.

Survivors include his son, David Criddle and his wife Angie of Columbus, MS, grandson, Derek Criddle, granddaughters, Kayla Tate and her fiancé Brad Butler and Savannah Beaugh, and great grandchildren, Carter Criddle, Lincoln Criddle, and Kennedy Criddle.

Pallbearers will be David Montgomery, Tony Montgomery, Brad Montgomery, Derek Criddle, Chris Chism, and Chris Ball.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
