Linda Fleming Norris of Columbus, Mississippi

April 19, 1944 - February 15, 2024

Linda Fleming Norris age 79 of Columbus, passed away Thursday February 15, 2024 at Windsor Place Nursing & Rehab Center. A graveside service will be held Sunday February 18, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Miller officiating.

Mrs. Norris was born on April 19, 1944 in Columbus to the late Richard Powell Fleming and Mary McGuire Fleming. She was a graduate of Lee High School where she enjoyed her cheerleading years and the honor of being named Homecoming Queen her senior year.  She then attended MSCW where she received her masters degree. She taught first and second grades for many years and later taught reading skills to adults at The Greater Columbus Learning Center. She was a member of Life Church of Columbus. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Lee Norris, and KK Norris.

Survivors include her son, Camden Riley Norris, her sister Kay Fleming Willis, and her brother Richard Powell Fleming, Jr., (Nell), and many nieces and nephews.
