Linda Egger, 78, of Caledonia, MS passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at West Point Community Living Center in West Point, MS.

Graveside services will be held at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with Brother Don Harding officiating. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 2nd Avenue North Location has been entrusted with arrangements.

Linda was born on March 11, 1942, in Columbus, MS to the late Gaylord Shepherd and Louise Jones. She was a graduate of New Hope High School and a member of Caledonia Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was raising her children and caring for her home. She was a homemaker and loved gardening.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Egger was preceded in death by her step-mother, Lil Stafford and sister, Ceba Steed.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bobby Egger of Caledonia, MS; children, Debbie Lawrence (Larry), Steve Huckaby, Cindy Goode (Barry) and Matt Egger (Morgan); brother, Jeff Shepherd; two granddaughters, Jaiden and Layla Grace Egger; numerous nieces, nephews and
step siblings; and her dog, Nugget.

Serving as pallbearers is Tony Smith, Johnny Gibson, Randle Grant, Ray Steed, Paul Averitt, Michael Halbert and Sean Lylte.

Honorary pallbearers will be Drew Huckaby, Glenn Gilmer, Frank Brock, Allen Romans, Tommy Vaughn, Michael Brock and Fred Chappel.
