Linda Mckinney Blakeney

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda McKinney Blakeney, a beloved member of our family and community, who left us peacefully on 04/27/2024 at the age of 77, surrounded by loved ones.

Services will be held Monday April 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church; burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday one hour prior to service at the church.

Linda was born on October 17,1946 in Memphis, TN, to Langdon Jefferies McKinney and Carolyn McGee McKinney. Growing up in Mississippi she exhibited an early passion for swimming but when she met the love of her life, that passion was renewed in golf, a sport in which much of their married life was centered around.

Linda was known for her ability to bring people together. So many in her community have experienced her words of wisdom while gathered around her kitchen table usually with a glass of ice-cold Pepsi. She touched the lives of all who knew her.

Linda leaves behind a loving family: Her Husband, Herbert Blakeney and two children Laura Ricks (Charlie) and Leigh Clark (Michael), A loving sister, Carol McKinney Jowers (Mark), and five grandchildren, Blake, Allison, Ross, Kirby, and Cooper who will miss her immensely but take comfort in knowing that she lived a full and beautiful life.

Pallbearers are as followed: Blake Bramlett, Cooper Clark, Kirby Clark, Ross Chunn, Spencer Waggoner, Stanley Taggart
