Leslie Jane Smith

LESLIE SMITH - Leslie Jane Stevens Smith, age 64, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 21, 2023, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Panama City, FL.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at First Methodist Church of Columbus with Rev. Tony Proctor officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service in Carolyn's Room of First Methodist Church.
Mrs. Smith was born December 27, 1958, in Hattiesburg, MS, to the late Horace and Maxcine Cooley Stevens.  She was a graduate of Runnelstown High School and also Mississippi University for Women with a degree in interior design.  Mrs. Smith worked as the food coordinator at First Methodist Church of Columbus for many years where she was also a member.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Franklin "Hal" Smith, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Trey Smith and Drew Smith, both of Columbus, MS, brother, Steve Stevens of Hattiesburg, MS, and sisters, Liddie Clark of Perry, GA, Lynda Schmitz of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Laura Hanson of Gulfport, MS.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
