Lawrence Wayne 'Larry' Rader, died on Jan. 20, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Feb 1, & visitation 1 hour prior at Wesley Methodist Church, Columbus, MS. 
Mr. Rader was born Mar. 26, 1951 in El Dorado, KS to Elfrieda Sommer Rader and the late Donald Edwin Rader. He is also survived by his wife, Sandra Pate Rader; sisters Judy McIntosh (Randy), Coretta Marvin, Patty Ives (Brad); several nieces & nephews. 
Graduating from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS, he retired as a Lock & Dam Supervisor on the Tenn-Tom Waterway after 40 years service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 
Larry faithfully served for many years as the Church Lay Leader at Wesley as well as a local Lay Speaker. Wherever there was a need, he was available. 
Being a Volunteer Firefighter, eventually lead to serving as the Chief for a time in the Forest Community, Alabama. He was also the Secretary of the Pickens County Firefighters Association for many years.
