Larry W. Luna, age 73, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Rev. Mel Howton and Rev. Sherry McReynolds officiating. Visitation will be held Monday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Larry was born on Saturday, January 29, 1949 in Memphis, TN to the late James Winford and Mamie Sue Gray Luna.
Larry was a truck driver who won several national awards while driving for Bryan Foods and drove during retirement. He was also a race car driver, avid Nascar fan, and Minneapolis Moline afficionado loved by several in the collector community.
Survivors include his beloved wife of fifty-three years Rita Mann Luna, his children Amanda Luna and Randy Luna, his son-in-law Patrick Gioia, his daughter-in-law Kimberly Luna, and his two granddaughters Sara and Matison. He is also survived by his brother Phil Luna and sister-in-law Patricia.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kimberly Luna, Bill Williamson, Justin Clark, Linda Garrett, Randy Perkins, Jeremy Luna, Larry Mann, and Jason Mann.
