KEVIN STEWART
Kevin Stewart, 49, of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Columbus. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Nebo Cemetery in Ackerman, MS.
Kevin was born in Memphis, TN on September 10, 1971 to Mrs. Judy Stewart and the late Dr. G. Seale Stewart. He was a long time coach and teacher for Caledonia High School and most recently, Columbus High School. His love of coaching included football, baseball, softball, basketball, and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Tabitha Stewart of Columbus, MS; children: Quincy, Drew, Bailey Ann, Lauren, and Brady; granddaughter: Awbree Teah; mother: Judy Stewart; sister: Kim Johnson and her husband, Brett Johnson, Jr; and nephew, Brett Johnson, III. In addition to his father, Kevin was preceded in death by his Nana, Lou Trim and grandmother, Frances Stewart.
Pallbearers will be Greg Shackelford, JT Perrigin, Mike Renacker, David Dawley, Billy Ashcraft, Ryan Ahrens, Josh Scott, Brett Johnson, III, and Andy Halford. Honorary pallbearers will be the Brotherhood of Beta Kappa Tau and the football and baseball coaches of Columbus High School.
