JUDI BETTS
Judith “Judi” Pauline Curtis Betts, age 73, of Columbus, MS, passed away February 14, 2020, at her residence. Funeral services will be Monday, February 17, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location with Matt Moehring and Sonny McClellan officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Lone Oak Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Mrs. Betts was born September 12, 1946, in Columbus, MS, to the late Howard and Ruth Bobo Curtis. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School and a lifelong member of Lone Oak Church of Christ. At the age of 27, Mrs. Betts was diagnosed with Kidney Disease. In 1996 she received a kidney transplant and was able to live a full healthy life. Mrs. Betts worked as an administrative assistant at Baptist Memorial Hospital for 46 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Curtis, and sister, Shirley Curtis Westbrook.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Tommy Betts of Columbus, MS, daughter, Amy Betts Williams of Columbus, MS, and grandson, Thomas “Will” Williams of Columbus, MS.
Pallbearers will be Greg Wheat, Steve Westbrook, Keith Westbrook, Wesley Westbrook, Danny Sanford, and Haze Allsup.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jack Reed, Dr. Jason Dunn, Dr. Joel Butler, Dr. Matt Wade, Allen Mays, UAB Transplant Team and staff, the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Clinic, and the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice nurses.
