JOYCE FAIRCHILD - Joyce Golden Fairchild, age 78, of Hamilton, MS, passed away August 25, 2021, at her residence.  Funeral services will be Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel 716 2nd Ave. North location with Rev. Paul Barham officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Fairchild was born July 1, 1943, in Louisville, MS, to the late Bryan O'Neal Golden and Neva Golden Smith.  Mrs. Fairchild owned and operated Fairchild Racing Equipment with her late husband, Marion Fairchild and was a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church.  She enjoyed drag racing, participated in dirt track powder puff races, and loved the Atlanta Braves and all sports.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fairchild was preceded in death by her son, John Stanley Fairchild, daughter, Rhonda Fairchild, step father, Earl Smith, grandson, Wayne McCallum, and brothers, Forrest Golden and O'Neal Golden.

Survivors include her sisters, Jean Cunningham and her husband Jim of Tuscaloosa, AL, Marie Whitaker and her husband Sonny of Amory, MS, and Carol Barham and her husband Paul of Vernon, AL, 2 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Doug Barham, Monte Crosswhite, Michael Whitaker, Tony Golden, Joseph Golden, and Brandon Merchant.
