Joseph Stuart

Joseph ‘Joe’ Monroe Stuart, aged 71, passed away on May 11, 2024. Born on August 10, 1952, to Monroe and Josephine Stuart, Joe grew up in Prairie, Mississippi. He attended Mississippi State University and was a proud graduate of Mississippi University for Women, where he completed his degree.

Joe was an avid tennis player, a passion he maintained throughout his life. He dedicated many years to his career as an exercise physiologist, a field where he was deeply respected and loved. He worked at HealthSouth for 10 years, Rehab AT Work/Elite for 6 years, and spent his last 14 years at Core Fitness 24/7, where he served as an exercise physiologist and trainer.

Throughout his adult life, Joe was devoted to caring for others and played a significant role in their healing processes. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on many lives.

Joe leaves behind a legacy of friendships, with many who respected and loved him deeply. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his dedication to his profession, his ability to inspire and heal those around him, and his infectious laugh.

A memorial service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held at Events off 5th, 515 College Street, Columbus, MS 39702, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 2:30 PM. We invite you to join us in casual attire to honor Joe’s memory.

Joe’s presence will be sorely missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
