Joseph O. King of Caledonia, Mississippi

Joseph Olan King age 90, died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 04, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens of Columbus with Rev. Ron Thomas and Rev. Don Harding officiating. Memorial Gunter Peel College Street is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. King was born on Sunday, August 25, 1929 in Midnight, MS to the late Verna Davis and Julia Merchant King.
He was a member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church, and retired as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, having served in Germany, Italy, Turkey, Pakistan, as well as multiple assignments in the U.S. He was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Twannie Thigpin King, his twin sister, Jane Opal King, and his brothers, Jimmie King, Marion King, and V.D. “Pete” King, Jr.
